Teyla & Sheppard
Teyla wrapped both hands around her glass as her attention shifted from the stage to John's face, and what she saw there caused an answering smile to spread across her lips. She'd known him for more than five years, probably closer to six, and in all that time Teyla didn't think she'd ever seen him look so relaxed. There had been plenty of times he'd let his guard down of course, and she'd seen him be kind, happy, even excited - but there was something different about this, and she liked the change in him. At his explanation, Teyla shook her head slightly before she laughed a little and looked at the stage once more.
"And this is considered entertainment on your world?" In her culture, singing had been primarily saved for rituals and the occasional celebration, but this was completely different to her way of thinking. She lifted her glass and took a tentative sip, smiled a little, and looked back at John once more.
"And when will you be ready to go up and sing? I'd very much like to hear you participate," she told him.
