WHO: Landon Kirby and OPEN Liz Parker WHAT: Worrying about everything going on WHEN: Monday morning WHERE: On his way to school WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
With everything that had happened this weekend, Landon was feeling pretty useless. Not for the first time, he found himself wishing that he had a power that was a little more offensive...something he could use to protect Hope and the people he loved. Sure, coming back from the dead was useful at times, and he'd been able to fly a couple of times, which had been cool, but...well, he still felt pretty useless when it came to some things. Like protecting the people he loved. He didn't have any extra strength, he couldn't do spells, or compel people, or run super fast like vamps could. If he wasn't being killed, he was pretty much just a normal person with normal person weaknesses.
He'd grabbed his bag and left his house early so that he could stop by Horst's Little Bakery Haus on his way. Donuts wouldn't solve all his problems, but they would fill the emptiness in his stomach, so that was something, anyway. He bought a bag, then headed towards the school, his mind on the happenings of the past week, distracted and not really paying attention where he was going.
Until he almost stepped out in front of a school bus.
It managed not to hit him, thank goodness, but it had his heart beating at like three times his normal speed. Not that he wouldn't come back, but dying wasn't exactly fun.
"Be careful, Landon," he chastised himself as he ran across the road and into the school. "You don't need to upset Hope any more than she already is."
