Instead of going home from school right away, Sabrina decided she wanted to take some time for herself. She wanted something that would let her clear her head, be distracted from everything. Aside from a drug trip, there was only one thing she could think of that would do the trick: ice skating. So, she skipped taking the school bus for a city bus.
Twenty minutes later, Sabrina was on the ice, gliding around. She was by no means an expert, but she stayed within her level of ability to lose herself in the feel of motion, the sound of the skate blades on the ice. If anyone was watching, she didn't notice or care once she found her rhythm. Her eyes watched the ice as she went in lazy circles, arms extended for balance.
