If it was his place back home, it would've shown his wealth. He would've had expensive paintings and the like. Here, not so much. He had a few paintings and decor but they didn't cost as much. The place was mostly cleaned, with a couple messes here and there.
"Of course," he told her as he led the way to the kitchen, turning on the lights as he went. He was glad he did the dishes before he left. "Wine's my favorite, so I have plenty." He grabbed a bottle from his collection and two wine glasses before filling them up.
He handed one to her. "Cheers," he grinned, clinking his glass to hers. Even though he wasn't as rich here as he was back home, there was still something elegant about the way he held his wine glass and drank from it. Guess it just came from habit.
