Who: Lisa and Ben Where: Their apartment When: Sunday night What: Putting some last touches on the tree and decorations Status: Closed; Incomplete Warnings: TBD, but probably none
After a full day of yoga instruction, Lisa was happy to be home. After cooking a quick meal for herself and Ben, she decided the two of them could put some finishing touches on the Christmas tree. She'd picked up a few more ornaments, now on clearance, to fill out the tree more. She'd also invested in a colorful tree skirt and another strand of lights to hang around the living room. Lisa was quick to rope Ben into stringing the lights as soon as they finished with the dishes. Once he was playing a videogame, pulling him from it into anything in reality was difficult.
"I thought the white lights would look good. What do you think?" Lisa looked up from hanging a glass snowman carefully on an empty branch, watching as Ben carefully tacked the lights into place, hopefully not puncturing any of the flimsy wires as he went along. No doubt he was mentally grumbling at Lisa for making him do this, but it was important they spend time together. He was still her son...no matter how old he was. Videogames would never take that away from her. Or her abilities to make him do laundry.
