Clint had not been lying about deep frying a turkey. He had the proper deep fryer set up on wavers a good distance away from the house, and away from any trees. The propane tank and hose to the fryer were covered and barricaded, so that no one would trip over them. Most important, the turkeys had been dry rubbed the night before and were as dry as he could get them before they were to go in.
At the moment, he was just waiting for the oil to finish heating up before adding one to the fryer.
