Who: Hermann Gottlieb and Open What: Staying safe When: Wednesday evening Where: Starbucks Warnings: TBA Status: Open/On-going
Hermann hadn't been kidding when he said that he knew he was a liability. He'd be a liability almost anywhere, to be perfectly honest. Not that he had any particular desire to go through the portal. No, he wanted more to stay on the safe side of it. He had too much going on to risk losing any of it -- and even if he stayed in a safe spot over there, there were no guarantees that it would stay safe.
And so he'd gone about his normal day, teaching and then settling in at Starbucks afterwards to grade a set of quizzes. It was a boring existence, or would be to most other people -- after living in his world for so long, and spending a large portion of his adult years fighting against something that wanted to destroy the planet as he knew it, Hermann was grateful for boring.
Especially since Madison Valley threw them all just enough to make it interesting without being terrifying.
Most of the time, anyway.
Taking a sip of his coffee, he scribbled a note on a quiz -- snarky and in German, knowing that anybody from his math classes would take it to someone from the German classes for a translation. Nobody ever accused him of not being a bastard, after all.
