It was taking a very different turn of events and he had never expected it to end in a kiss. But, he couldn't get too carried away and after a minute or so he pulled back, slightly breathless. Dean looked into her eyes and reached out to let his fingers trail down her jaw. "I just want you and Ben to be happy." He whispered, his head cocked to the side as he recalled all the good times they had together, as a family. She had given him the one thing he wanted more than anything and he had failed.
"I missed you, Lis." He didn't want to let go or stop touching her, but he needed to do it. Inhaling deeply he took his hand from her and ran it into his face with a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry, I just-" he laid back against the chair and laughed, shaking his head. "I don't want to get your hopes up again, Lisa. I think we should just be... friends."
