Given what Hope was and what her family was, she was not exactly about Halloween. It wasn't that she hated the Halloween, but more so that she found it rather silly. The costumes for witches and vampires were campy at best and though her mother had dressed her up as a child, Hope found she was okay with no partaking in the festivities as an adult. Parties had never been her "thing." Mostly because socializing had never been her "thing" until she met Landon and started to grow closer to the Saltzman twins. Until that point, she'd isolated herself, frightened that her mere presence would be enough to end them all or doom them to some awful fate worse than death. It was only from Landon that she learned connecting with people didn't have to be a curse and that love did not have to be damnation. Still, despite being slightly hypocritical, Hope found herself wandering around the Spirit store. She'd finished up her homework early and decided to poke around a bit. She wasn't sure she would necessarily buy anything, but it was always amusing to look and see all the goofy renditions of her kind that the humans could come up with. |
