Rowan felt like she was back in her own world, the only difference was she didn’t really know what caused the comment some girl in her class had made to her. Back home, she knew the reason behind all the cruel and harsh comments even if none of them were true. This time, she had no idea what brought on the untrue comment, but at least, it was only a single girl making the comment rather than most of the kids at school. Rowan decided to do what her father always told her, and ignore it, which was her usual way of dealing with it. She heard worse so it wasn’t that hard to ignore.
Not really in the mood to head home, especially with the gorgeous weather, knowing it’d change to cold sooner rather than later, she decided to grab a coffee and head to the park. Sitting on the grass, she crossed her legs to put her drink between her legs so it was steady. Using her phone she took some pictures before her attention was snatched away watching two girls who she could hear were sisters. Rowan missed her big sister more than anything. Snapping out of it and noticing how she had been playing with her necklace, which was a gift from her sister, Rowan picked up her drink to take a sip.
