Axel nodded. Walk the perimeter and observe. It was a solid plan. A good plan. He reached up and ran a hand over his face, fingers scraping through his beard. He'd given up trying to shave, after Scarlett died he didn't see much reason to care anymore, but he had to admit the thought of having an electric razor again was definitely appealing.
"We stick together," he added. No splitting up. At least not yet, not until they knew more. He wanted to stay close to her as much as she needed to stay close to him. Safety in familiarity. Or at least the illusion of safety. He wasn't sure they were safe at all, but considering how difficult it was to kill either of them, he wasn't worried about death.
