When Dean had asked Mary if it would be okay if Ben lived with them, Mary had no issues with it at all. Despite the possible popular belief of others regarding her son's judgment, Mary happened to trust it. It was clear Ben meant something to her son and if he meant something to Dean, he meant something to her. Though she wasn't aware of exactly how they knew it each other, Mary guessed it was someone he had meant on one of his hunting trips with Sam. She didn't ask; she figured when Dean was ready, he would tell her the story about Ben. Mary had just finished a shift at the Electric Lady and had collapsed, exhausted, onto the living room couch. She had an untouched beer on the table and was still in her apron. It had been one of those shifts and Mary would have rather been on a hunting trip than face down those customers again. Shaking her head, she undid her apron and tossed it aside, leaning back against the couch in just a pair of skinny jeans and a plaid shirt. Mary closed her eyes. At least she had made decent tips tonight. When she didn't, it didn't feel like it was worth it...at all. She pulled the hair tie from her blond hair and after shaking it out, reached for the beer, twisting off the cap, and taking a sip. After tonight, she probably could have used something heavier, but since she had to work tomorrow, she was trying to keep the alcohol intact to a minimum. |
