One of the bad things about not going to school was that on really nice fall days like today when it was the middle of the week, there wasn't really a whole lot to do or people to talk to. Still, that didn't stop Tandy from dragging a blanket from her room and heading to the park, where she spread it out and then lay on her stomach to listen to music from her phone as she read a book. Since Madison Valley didn't seem to have a decent music store aside from the one that sold musical instruments, pretty much all she had to go on was what she found online and downloaded, so at the moment her head was idly nodding along to a song by The Chicks as she stared at a page in her book without really reading it.
In fact, she was so zoned out that she didn't really notice too much until a shadow passed directly across the sun that shined onto the page and Tandy looked up, shielding her eyes with one hand against the glare coming over the person's shoulder. "Do you mind? You're in my light."
