Hope had never had a perfect life. None of them had. The fact the she was coming close to having something resembling that description made her happy and also very scared. Usually whenever she ended up happy, she ended up losing everything that made her that way in the first place.
"For the most part he is," Hope added quickly, hoping to taint the somewhat "perfect" picture Lizzie was describing of her life here.
Hope knew Lizzie well enough to pick up on the hint of envy in her expression. She knew Lizzie missed her sister and her dad. Hope missed them too, but she knew it was no comparison to the way that Lizzie did. That was her family after all.
"I am, but I still miss Josie and your dad too. I wish they were here with us."
