"Leaving it is, then," Sean said with a nod. "Let's just get you out of here and then we'll figure out where we're going."
"Uh, she can't actually go anywhere with you until -- "
He fixed the man who'd spoken with a Look. "I'm taking my sister with me," he said firmly. "If you have a problem with this, let Johanna know and she'll take it up with me. I can guarantee you, she won't be particularly happy with how you're treating a scared teenage girl."
A moment later, Sean was leading his sister out of the building. "So what do you want to do now?" he asked. "You hungry? We can go get something to eat, I'm pretty sure it's late enough that most places won't be all that busy. You won't get overwhelmed. Or we can just head back to my apartment and I can cook."
