“Yes, Noah was here when I first showed up around this place. He was the first of us from what we both know to end up here, then I followed suit and he left a bit after I arrived.” Brooke wasn’t going to give the exact time frame cause she didn’t even remember how long he had been around only that he had been. Brooke only remembered being sad when she learned the news since it was someone from home and then she was here all by herself to deal with this insanity. Even after being here for over a year, Brooke still found this place to be insane but she didn’t mind it. Still boring, still lacking on awesome clothes, and angry she couldn’t online shop; however, she didn’t have any of the issues following her from Lakewood. So she wasn’t at all surprised to see how Emma’s face was reading about this whole thing.
Tilting her head slightly, listening to Emma trying to make sense of this whole place and rationalize it. “Normally, I’d agree with you on this not being possible, but here we are. This is all very real. You have people here with magic, supernatural abilities, superheroes, and the list goes on.” Brooke didn’t want to throw too much at her and freak the girl out; however, she couldn’t have her friend thinking she was going through what she had before. Brooke hadn’t believed her before on seeing a killer, she wasn’t going to leave her best friend on the edge by herself.
“When was the last time you saw me before now?” Brooke asked with a slightly raised eyebrow. “Do you have your phone because try calling and you’ll see you can’t call anyone back in our world, which still hate using that word. Emma, do you really think my dad wouldn’t have been all over this if I had gone missing?” Brooke hated her father right now and still had a lot of anger towards him, but she knew he’d never let anything bad happen to her or at least she hoped he wouldn’t.
