Who: Sean Nast and Alex Manes What: Alex needs to talk, so Sean's listening When: Saturday, early evening Where: His apartment Warnings: TBA Status: Closed/On-going
It was actually the first time he'd been back to his apartment since he and Maria had realized that Alex had gotten sent back. Soon as they'd realized it, he'd thrown a bag together and headed over to stay with Maria. There was no way he was going to leave her alone and he'd fully expected her to worry about him in return. To be fair, though, he'd been right. So it'd been a couple days of them being largely functional -- or pretending to be -- and worrying about each other, because doing that was easier than worrying about themselves.
He'd run back by the apartment to grab some different clothes and had been about to head out the door when he'd seen Alex's message. He'd dropped the bag on the couch to reply because that was more important to begin with, even moreso after learning about Alex's father. And once he knew Alex was on his way over, that was when the worrying really kicked in. Because he knew it was selfish, he really did, but there was a part of him -- a bigger part than he really wanted to admit -- that was worried he was going to hear something he didn't want to hear. That didn't mean he wouldn't listen, though. If Alex needed him, then he was going to be there.
If he ever screwed things up, it wouldn't be because he wasn't supportive.
A knock at the door caught his attention. "Hey," he said softly as he answered the door. "Talk to me."
