Who: Gigolo Joe and OPEN What: Random encounter When: Tuesday evening Where: Den of Dionysus Rating: Low, TBD
Joe liked Madison Valley. Not only had his luck held out and Madison had saved his brain from being destroyed (or rather maybe this was the afterlife, even for an android) but the citizens were all very nice for the most part and no one had spit on him or called him Sexbot or a walking trashcan. As a matter of fact, it seemed that Madison Valley had little to no anti-android issues to speak of, and for the past few nights, the moon that he had seen in the sky was a true natural moon, not that of a Flesh Fair balloon patrolling for fodder.
What's more? He wasn't expected to follow his programming here, there was no need for nextGen to use his communicator necklace to tell him about the next trick, nor was there any Mr. Bevins waiting around the corner to frame him again. The only thing he truly missed here was David and Teddy. He missed David's blind optimism and observing the young Mecha boy going through the motions of true (as true as Mecha could) emotion, chasing down Blue Fairy and winning the heart of his Orga matron. There were plenty of people here, but they weren't David, and none of them that he had met thus far were like him, so there was a certain note of loneliness and melancholy, he almost found himself longing to see his friend Jane again (his Jane, there were a lot of them, but his was JN-4578E1103 to be exact).
Nevertheless, Joe found himself at the Den of Dionysus, leaning against the bar as he watched the crowd of people mill around and the dancers dance. It was almost reminiscent of Here Kitty Kitty, though it lacked the grime and excessive neon. He had already put his debit card to good use, having bought a small group of young women a round of drinks with nothing expected in return. He simply liked making them smile and blush.
