Who: Penny Kirkman and Open What: Finding something to read When: Thursday afternoon Where: The library Warnings: None Status: Open/On-going
The library had a special place in Penny's heart; it was where she'd retreated to when she'd first wound up in town, where Penelope had retrieved her from. Even now, it was where she tended to end up a majority of the time when she didn't really know what else she felt like doing. Summer had her kind of at loose ends, honestly; with school over, she didn't really have anything to do. Penny didn't remember it being that bad the previous summer. Maybe just because she hadn't been there for the end of the previous school year.
Which just made Penny think about the fact that she'd been there for almost a year, something that felt super weird to her. Not bad, just... weird. She didn't mind school, she liked the few friends she'd made, and she had an awesome guardian. So it wasn't that she disliked the life she had there, she just... really, really missed home sometimes. Then again, she was twelve. Anybody who expected otherwise was kinda dumb.
The library was always comfortable, though, was always some kind of an adventure. She never knew what she was going to find and she kind of liked it that way. She was a curious little explorer and God help anybody who tried stopping her.
At the moment, she was idly wandering the stacks and poking around curiously. Sometimes it was just fun to do that and see what subject she ended up stopping at. Well, fun for her. Maybe not whoever she ended up running into. 'cause she did that sometimes.
