Who: Colin Ritman and Thomas What: Random Encounter Where: Coffee Shop When: Monday Warnings: Not likely Status: Closed
Thomas needed a job. Now that school was out for the summer, and he had nothing to do all day, he needed something to keep him from going stir crazy. He wasn't the type to sit around doing nothing. He needed a purpose, a mission, a task. He'd spent so long just trying to survive and without that being an issue, he didn't really know what to do with himself.
He also wasn't sure what sort of job would be good for him. He had plenty of survival skills, but not a lot that was really marketable. He wasn't going to stand around stocking shelves or scanning items at a check out counter. He needed something more...physical, something more challenging. He had yet to figure out what that might be.
He ended up at the bookstore, thinking maybe he could find a book or something to give him a place to start. He was walking through the cafe when he kicked a bag that was on the floor. "Oh, hey. Sorry." He bent down to retrieve the bag, and turned to hand it to the guy sitting in the chair the bag had been mostly tucked under, with just enough sticking out that Thomas had kicked it.
