John Wick & Natasha Romanoff
"I can understand. I don't feel as if I fit under any particular umbrella any longer. I have spent too long being good at being only myself."
John liked the calm, cool, and collected way Natasha presented herself. He found himself relaxing in her company in a way which was rare for him with new people. It was possible he was reading more into her words than he should, but he had a feeling about her; John had learned to trust his gut with people.
"Are you enjoying being here in Madison Valley? I've found it a welcome departure from my regular business."
Madison felt almost like being on holiday to John. Even Death had been known to take a holiday. Why shouldn't he embrace the experience while he had the chance?
Natasha gave him the impression of someone who could appreciate any situation she found herself in. She'd implied she was in the habit of adapting due to necessity as an adult and circumstances as a child. John enjoyed the idea of spending time with someone who knew the rigors of a Slavic upbringing. Only someone who had shared the experience could appreciate it without first comparing it to a more relaxed youth.
"If you'd like the company, I would be glad to tour the grounds with you? Find a bite to eat?"
