His world was like hers, then. Well, probably not exactly like hers. But different, not normal. Broken somehow. She understood what he meant, at least.
"Yeah, it is," she agreed. "It's... overwhelming, sometimes. Ending up here, after ten years of a world decidedly not like this... fascinating and overwhelming and confusing all at the same time. I was lucky, I guess, because it was like this when I was little, before everything went wrong."
She gave him a slight smile. "I'm K-Mart, by the way." She was so used to the nickname at this point that if people ever tried calling her Dahlia, she'd probably just look confused every time.
