All in all, Luna had had a relatively productive day. She'd spent that morning confirming her information with her new employer and getting things all set. After that she'd headed over to the local nursery. Her room had seemed so incredibly bland still after a month, and she missed being out in nature like she normally was. Bringing nature inside was the next best thing.

She'd found a few small succulents to put in her bedroom window, but she was more excited about the calathea orbifolia she'd gotten her hands on. The big striped, oval shaped leaves helped fill up a vacant corner in her living space near the glass door leading out into her small lanai. She worried at this rate, with a steady income, she might soon be living in a small greenhouse. Though she didn't terribly mind the idea the more she thought on it.

After getting her new plants situated, Luna cleaned up a bit around the living room and kitchen area. She was pretty limited still in her amenities; four plates, four pairs of silverware and four cups, but she didn't need much. She set a few of these out and went to change. Tying back her hair, she hopped into a soft and fuzzy orange sweater and a pair of skinny jeans that were comfortable. As she took her hair down, Luna looked over herself in the mirror.

This was a date. It was a date, right? Wait, was it?

Regardless of any conclusion she came to, she freshened herself up, using her wand to revive her wilting hair for the moment as well.

Now all that was left to do was wait.

As far as Leo was concerned this was a date. They had agreed to seeing each other again, and Leo thought he'd made it clear he was interested in getting to know her better. So he showed up at Luna's door with a large pizza and a six pack of beer with that thought in mind.

He was wearing casual, thought. Pair of jeans, button down shirt. Of course he had his hands full so he had to gently knock with a foot.

Hearing the knock, Luna headed over and opened up her door, smiling when she saw Leo. But her eyes quickly went wide with seeing his hands full. Reaching out she took the beer and made space for him to get inside. "How did you manage to even make it up the elevator?"

Luna set the beers down on the small table adjacent to her kitchen and went back to the front door to close it behind him. "You really didn't have to do all this for me. But I appreciate it."

She paused and smiled a bit before smoothing out her sweater and walked over. Luna was debating on some form of affection but something popped into her mind. Something terribly important. "Oh! Your surprise!"

And with that, she dashed back into her bedroom.

"I'm very limber," he joked as he stepped inside. She looked nice, and Leo smiled to get a look at her. But he didn't want to get caught staring so he made to look for a place to set the pizza down.

"What was it you said? The whole point of a gift is that it isn't necessary? Or something like that."

He turned around, but had missed seeing her run out of the room. His brows lifted before he smirked in amusement. "My. People come and go so quickly around here."

Luna walked out with her hands cupping something with closed palms, looking rather tickled with herself, "Gifts aren't at all necessary. But it is nice to give them. I do hope you're not too frightened by this though."

Moving in front of him, she opened her hands. A tiny white toy horse that was proudly prancing about in her palms looked up a Leo and neighed in a slightly squeaky tone. It flicked it's mane as it moved up onto her wrist and she took one of his hands, palm up, and placed it gently there. "Since you can't always ride one, you've gone one you can take with you."

Taking a step back, Luna smiled, beaming behind closed lips as she waited for his reaction. It was nice to share a little of her world with someone who wasn't used to it.

Leo lost his ability to speak for a long time as he marveled at the small, seemingly alive, itty bitty white horse in his hand. An astounded smile formed on his face as he huffed. "I think he's judging me," he said as it looked up at him then stomped a teeny tiny hoof.

Leo tore his attention away from the horse in lieu of giving Luna that baffled smile. "This is...this is amazing! Thank you!" He wasn't even going to ask how she did it. He wouldn't understand even if she broke it down to just magic.

"It tires out after a bit. But it'll take a little nap wherever you place it when it needs to. Otherwise, it'll just trot around in a small space. Oh, and don't leave it around papers, it'll probably try and snack on it." She smiled as the horse seemed to settle, finding a comfortable spot on the heel of his hand and plopping down for a nap.

It took a small bit of stretching, but she took a breath and placed a small kiss on his cheek before quickly moving to grab plates for their dinner. It was much easier to hide the spread of pink blooming in her cheeks as she moved about.

"Paper bad," he said in all seriousness and nodded his head. Of course, he was looking intently at the little horse on his hand so when the kiss to the cheek came he was surprised by it. He blinked a couple of times then smiled as he watched her escape. That was insanely cute.

"So uh," he started. "I'm going to need to put this little guy down if I'm going to have any pizza."

"It should do just fine in your pocket. No need to breathe and no reason to worry about getting squished either. I won't bother you with the lack of metaphysical properties of transfigured items." She hoped her movement was enough to give reason for her newly acquired color as it snaked up her neck as well, offering him a plate with some pizza.

"Oh, but it may occasionally move to get more comfortable, so do take note in case you get startled."

"Are you sure it isn't going to get squished?" His shirt had a chest pocket. Leo felt it would be more comfortable there than in his pants pockets so he gently tucked it in.

His hand brushed hers as he took the offered plate, and he lingered long enough to trace a fingertip along the length of her index finger. Yes, he did it on purpose. He waited until she looked at him before he spoke. "Thanks," he said. Was it for the slice or the horse or both?

"I-" Her whole body stilled at the contact, her eyes glazing over a little while her ears felt like they were on fire. Certainly it had been a long time since she'd seen anyone in a more romantic sense, but this felt like riding a bike for the first time. The feelings felt much more intense than she figured they should have, but it was rather nice.

Luna finally realized she'd been staring at him for an alarmingly long time in silence. Clearing her throat, she rushed out the words, "Oh, it's really no problem. I thought you might like something a little fun. Wait...the pizza? Yes, no no, no problem at all."

Leo learned that he enjoyed Luna staring at him. She had very pretty eyes. He smiled as he waited for her to catch on, but while he waited he took the time to study her features. Also, very pretty.

As if to prove that he wasn't entirely a good guy, Leo's ego liked that he flustered her. He licked his lips to keep from grinning too much. His eyes lowered to the table as he put his plate down. "Do you want a beer?"

The moment Leo's eye contact broke, she closed her eyes tightly and caught her lower lip between her teeth, nodding and feeling very much embarrassed, "Yes, that might be best."

She took a breath and smoothed out her sweater, absolutely positive that her entire body was probably the color of a strawberry at this rate. But she held her head up and turned her attention to beer, "So what did you bring?"

	The beer was a distraction. As she was fussing with her sweater Leo stepped up to her, so when she lifted her head finally, he caught her face gently with both hands. It was only to keep her from turning her head so his kiss didn't miss her lips. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Resigned to trying to get her head back on straight, Luna was prepared to talk about whatever he'd brought. Instead, she found Leo's hands moving to hold her her face. Certainly not where she was expecting things to be going, but not at all opposed.

Luna's big eyes connected with Leo's. The world around them seemed to melt and become fuzzy around the edges, and before she could make a verbal acknowledgement of this, her fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt and pulled him forward a bit.

Eyes closed tightly now and fingers most definitely having left creases in the fabric she'd be clinging to, Luna managed to pull back a hair and add a soft, "Definitely a date."

She tasted like peaches. He didn't know if it was her soap, body lotion or what, but he liked it. It could just be her...which was awesome. And he didn't care about creases. They were just proof that he hadn't gotten slapped.

"Are you sure?" he teased as he smiled down at her. His thumb lightly caressed the soft skin of her cheek. "'Cause I can do that again in case you still have a doubt."

"You could do that a few more times just for the hell of it too, if you wanted." Luna shocked herself at her eager reaction, dissolving into a soft laugh as she looked back up at him. His hands were so warm, and she leaned a little into his palm, "I'm afraid I'm terrible at these kinds of things."

It took another moment to realize she was still clutching his clothing. Luna's palms smoothed out the material against his chest. "I fear I might need to get you an iron for this."

"This isn't a contest," Leo assured her. "You're fine just how you are." He leaned in to give her a quick kiss. Just because he could. Then he caught her fussing hands and brought them up so he could kiss her fingers. "My shirts have been through a lot worse."

Leo smiled at her as he gave her hands a squeeze then released one. The other he kept hold of to lead her toward the table holding the pizza and beer. "C'mon. We should eat the pizza before it gets cold."
