Truthfully, they were almost finished with their timeout anyway. Rose was new to this whole "mom" thing, but she'd always been good at giving orders. Providing discipline went along with that, didn't it? In any case, she flopped down on the couch next to Kenny and took another cookie from the box before taking out her phone to check the time. They only had a minute left. She was sure they could handle it and Kenny had put anything they were going to say to silence when he reminded them it was only three minutes.
For someone who didn't really have much of a parental figure growing up, Rose found herself adapting to the role decently well. Then again, it could just be she was use to giving orders in the field when it came time to fight Strigoi. Then again, her mother was still strict even if she wasn't around all that much because of her guardian duties. Rose glanced at her phone once more before nodding towards both the kids.
"Okay, you can leave the corners now and have a few cookies, but no more arguing or you're going right back there for the rest of the time you are here."
