Who: Jordan Two Delta and Max Evans What: So much awkward and wait that's not normal When: Sunday afternoon Where: Jordan's house Warnings: TBA Status: Closed/On-going
Jordan was completely at a loss. She'd fully expected to never see Sunday again, considering that Tom had gone home. The idea hurt, but she'd gotten used to it. And then to have this happen, to have to tell Sunday that her father wasn't there? It hurt, more than anything else ever had. Because Sunday had cried, even though she was a Madison Valley child and understood how things were. Understanding never made things hurt less -- and that was something Jordan understood all too well.
Having Max offer to help was a godsend, honestly. Not that she wasn't well capable of it all, but she wasn't really feeling up to handling it all on her own. Didn't want to handle it all on her own. She hadn't missed Tom to this degree in months, but at the moment? She really wished he were still there. For all the awkwardness, he'd been good with their daughter. She needed that right then.
But at least she had Max to take a little bit of it off her shoulders, even if it was something as simple as bringing over food. She'd forgotten the dubious joy of trying to feel a six-year-old.
She was the only one home at the moment, since Jill had gone off to wander by the clinic and see her daughter, and Carson and Lissa were off with their daughter, which meant that by the time Max showed up? She was grateful to have another adult there. She was a little bit afraid to be alone at the moment.
