Peeta was out looking for inspiration. He'd been painting scenes from his memory, full of death and horror and the unnaturally bright colours of the arena, but for once he found himself wanting to paint something different. Something that was connected to where he was now. Something calm, peaceful, like Madison Valley seemed to be.
So he walked in the park, looking at the nature that was so readily available, so different from the deadly nature of the arena. He carried a notebook and some watercolours in his backpack just in case something took his fancy, but for the most part he was just looking; taking in the scenery, the people relaxing, the sense of calm. Letting himself heal.
