Who: Raven Reyes and Leo Fitz
What: Raven checks in with her pseudo big brother
Where: Fitz's place
When: Saturday afternoon (backdated)
Warning: Probably some talk of dark times
Status: Closed/Ongoing

Raven was worried. She knew Fitz had gone through some difficulties a few weeks ago when the dome made everyone weird again. She had not changed, though, and she noticed that Fitz had not been himself at all. There was a darkness there...and she had a feeling he wasn't entirely processing. Or maybe he was. Either way, she worried.

Usually, they had fun and bantered at work. They enjoyed their work and occasionally throwing gold fish crackers at each other. That didn't entirely change, but she could tell he wasn't his usual self. Today, she decided to visit him at home just to hang out and talk. He'd been there for her during hard times, and now she wanted to do the same for him.

She did text him ahead of time that she would be stopping by with Chinese food. It had been awhile since they properly got to talk outside of the work place. He was still like a big brother to her. She could be a nagging little sister when she had to be. That meant making sure he was taking care of himself.

With that in mind, she knocked on the door.

Fitz was trying to keep himself together, he really was. And he was trying to keep himself together without turning into a recluse. He'd almost been succeeding at it until the previous month, when he'd gotten that frightening glimpse at another version of himself. After that, all bets were pretty much off. It helped that he had the people closest to him -- Daisy and Raven, mostly -- and the people he worked with.

All in all, he was really just sort of surviving.

But no matter what, there were people that wouldn't complain about seeing. Raven was one of them -- especially when she came bearing food. He was waiting in the living room for her, which meant that when she knocked he was able to get to the door quickly. (The girls were at that age where they were fast little things and just because they weren't in the room at the moment didn't mean they wouldn't try beating him to the door somehow anyway.)

"Well, if it isn't one of my favorite people," he said with a faint smile as he stepped back. "Come on in."

"I better be one of your favorite people," Raven grinned, making her way into the house. "I mean, I brought food that I didn't cook. That's how you know I am the best."

She placed the bag of food on the dining room table, already starting to take some of the cartons out. "So where are the little helions?"

It was a term of endearment. She loved those kids almost as much as she loved her own.

Fitz laughed. "They're upstairs at the moment," he said. "Can't promise Eleanor won't thunder down here, though. And Rowan's old enough that she very well might at this point."

She was just about a year and a half old. Okay, so she didn't quite get the concept of how her knees worked, but the little girl knew how to walk. Which meant she knew how to get into mischief. Which meant he stopped her from tumbling down the stairs at least once a day.

That child was going to be a handful when she got older.

"Well, I hope they do. I haven't had a chance to hang out with them lately." Raven had not really seen them much at all since she had returned.

Now that she was more settled, she was getting around to seeing the people she cared about most when she was here before. Mostly, though, she was visiting to make sure Fitz was taking care of himself. She had no doubt he made sure the girls were taken care of.

"You know you're welcome over here any time," Fitz said. "I mean, we might look at you a little weirdly if you show up in the middle of the night, but you're welcome any time."

Actually, he'd probably be amused moreso than anything else if Raven showed up in the middle of the night. Possibly. It did seem like a vaguely her thing to do, if the mood struck her.
