Madison Valley had been an interesting experience so far for Peter Hale. He'd had a decent discussion with Sheriff Stilinski, Chris Argent and he hadn't crossed paths even once, and there was the interesting thing he had going on with Kitty. There were a few other people in town that he'd spent time with, but Kitty seemed to be holding his interest right now.
Last night had been a supermoon, and his temper had been shorter than normal, but Peter had still gone running with the others. It had been a long time since he'd actually run with a pack, a family, but it had been, well, nice. Having that companionship available had actually been calming for him, had pulled back the anger and irritation to a manageable level. He'd actually been mellow enough to make breakfast for everyone before the sunrise, because as fit as he was, he still wasn't able to keep up with teenagers all night long anymore.
Nor did he want to.
After making sure that everything was set out so it was easily accessible or keeping warm, Peter had filled up a thermos with tea, and made up a small pack of sausage biscuits, and then headed back out into the woods. He knew where Kitty had settled down for the night, had actually draped a blanket over her as he'd headed into the house and she was still in wolf form. When he found her, he sat down next to her, his back against the tree, and waited, catching up on things on his phone.
