Who: Peeta Mellark & Open What: Stocking up on art supplies When: Friday Afternoon, after school Where: Galatea's Art Supplies Warnings: None so far Status: Open/Ongoing
Since arriving in Madison Valley, Peeta had been keeping himself busy. He'd been sending messages, making friends, studying for school, and helping with baking around the house. He'd been keeping himself so busy that he hadn't had time to think about what had happened - the games, the way they'd ended, the fact that he was now in a whole other world, the fact that he was even alive.
But the weekend was coming, and Peeta knew that he'd be left with time to himself. Time to fill. He didn't want to be sitting with that time alone, with nothing to do.
So he decided to do what he'd been doing the whole time since the first Hunger Games. He would process his feelings, process everything that had happened, everything that was happening, through art.
But first he needed supplies.
He asked around until he found the art supply store, then went in. It was different from home, of course - everything was different from home. But it had the same smell - different paints mixed together, chemical yet somehow reassuring. Peeta smiled and allowed himself to relax, wandering through the various aisles and gathering what he thought he would need.
