Elena was still coming to terms with being Alpha. It was a role she never saw herself in; partially, this was because she always believed, foolishly, Jeremy would never leave or be killed. He was Jeremy and somehow, he just felt invincible. Obviously, Madison Valley had proven her wrong about that. With Nick and Clay both absent as well, Elena had stepped in, but not without the support of everyone else that still remained. She considered the Pack a full democracy though and wanted to continue to keep doors open for anyone who wanted to potentially be a part of the Pack. Anna was unofficial Pack in a way, but Elena considered her Pack anyway.
Elena was upset with herself for not trying to know Anna better. She felt the same about Jaime too. Both women had been here before herself and yet the time had never come up for them to know one another better. Elena hoped to change that, but not with just them, but with others too. The blond picked up on Anna's scent before the other woman entered the room, but she also sensed the huge feeling of calm that suddenly washed over her, wiping away the nerves she'd felt just a second before. It was strange, but Elena sensed that might be why Anna wanted to talk to her. Well, one reason at least.
"Of course, Anna," Elena replied with a small smile. "It's not a problem. I brought some lunch too if you are hungry too. I figured we could eat and talk." She gesture for the other woman to have a seat before claiming one herself.
