Who: Elena and Anna What: Having a chat When: After their conversation Where: The Pack house Rating: TBD Status: Closed; Incomplete
Elena was surprised when Anna reached out to her on the network. She knew bits and pieces of the other woman's past, but nothing else. Mostly, it was because Elena did not like to pry. She knew if the roles were reversed, she would not want Anna or anyone else trying to pry into her life and her past. Regardless of the fact that Elena had come to terms with her past while living in Madison Valley, she still would want her secrets to be her secrets unless she chose to reveal them, free of prodding or poking. When it involved the Pack, that was a different story. Elena had to be an open book and she was with a good majority of them to an extent. If they wanted to know more, she would tell them. She didn't have to being Alpha now, but she would. Secrets only led to pain which could lead to disloyalty and mistrust and a Pack was family. Elena wanted to keep this family together and make sure it continued to be a place that new wolves and other supernaturals felt safe requesting to join.
She also wanted to make sure she was always available for Pack members who wanted to talk too. It was why she wanted to meet with Anna as soon as she was available. She didn't want to seem as if the other woman was an afterthought or, worse, below Elena's passion for photography. Once, Elena had valued the promise of a normal life above the Pack, but those days were gone now. The Pack came first, as near to her and as important as her own two children. She invited Anna over for lunch, picking up a round of sandwiches from Hinkles on the way, and setting up everything before Anna was set to stop by. She'd made sure to pick up a variety of everything because she didn't know Anna well enough to pinpoint her tastes exactly and she didn't want to seem rude or ignorant of possibly different tastes than her own. Plus, she wanted Anna to feel as comfortable as possible. There was also plenty of chips and snack foods to go along with the sandwiches. Greasy fixings included.
Once everything was set, Elena took a sip from her glass of water and waited for the other woman to arrive.
