What kind of magic was this? One moment, she was in Arendelle, with her sister, spinning and laughing as she attempted to show her sibling the beauty and potential fun ice skating held. In the next, she was standing in the middle of a street, in a strange, unfamiliar town, with strangers gaping at her in stunned silence. Anna was nowhere to be found among them, either was Kristoff. What was going on? How was this possible? The questions swarmed Elsa's head, threatening to overwhelm the Queen and potential cause a temporary loss of control of her powers. She was scared, anxious, and worried. What had happened to her sister? Her friends? Her kingdom? Her pale fingers dug into the palms of her hands as she fought down the icy urge within her, quaking and growing with every second that passed. How long could she control it? The ice wanted to move, to do something to protect her and shelter her from the fears residing within, but if she let it out? No, she would only succeed in hurting someone.
As it was, she barely heard the words of the gentleman who greeted her (unhappily it appeared) and who offered her money and entrance to a place to stay here. All of it was weird to Elsa and she gaped at the device left in her shaking hands. She'd never used anything like it before in Arendelle. How was she supposed to know how to use it now? A frosty filament started to come off of Elsa's finger tips in response to the obvious level of stress she was feeling. It instantly froze up the small device and Elsa dropped it. It shattered on the pavement; a coating of ice already moving to form beneath her feet. Residents and local gawkers would also fee a drop in temperature and the formation of snowflakes swirling in the air. Oh no! She had to calm down.
Breathe, Elsa. Breathe. She closed her eyes and tried desperately to calm down with every fiber of her being.
