Who: Lilly Desange and OPEN What: Exploring When: Friday afternoon Where: The park Rating: Low, TBD
Lilly had kept mostly to herself the past week. The town had been in a weird sort of uproar and she hadn't wanted anything to do with it. Was she scared? No. Should she have been? Perhaps.. Up to a point. Maybe she should've been unsure and unsettled, but she had taken it all with a grain of salt. Worse things had happened in her short six years than what Madison was experiencing and had experienced at least in her past time spent here... If this was a sacrifice she had to make by spending a little time spent tearing up the house with Brie, then so be it. The outside would always be there waiting.
Having gone to the park (one of her favorite places in Madison, seconded only by the cemetery) Lilly had come prepared this time. Thanks to the cloudy day and the threat of rain she was fully dressed this time and had even grabbed up a jacket, shoes (gasp!) and a few broken chewed on crayons shoved into a pocket just in case.
Humming to herself as she chewed on the stubby end of an already gnawed on royal blue crayon, Lilly stalked a pigeon. The same one she had been playing with the last half hour. She watched closely as the thing pecked at the narrow path and wove its way between the legs of a park bench, cooing stupidly. Squatting down onto her haunches, small dirty hands pressed into the muddy grass under her, she crawled slowly and silently up to it, staying so quiet that Mama would've been proud had she been there (though Lilly was glad she wasn't). When she closed the distance between herself and the pigeon to a respectable two feet, she leapt it at, grubby hands grabbing at the bird as it went to fly away, wings flapping frantically. Securing the wings close to its body, Lilly latched onto the pigeon's midsection held it firmly but not hard enough to hurt the bird.
Standing with her prize, she giggled and flung her arms straight up into the air, letting the pigeon go as it fluttered away a good six yards in a shower of feathers and terrified coos... and then the game started over again.
