Something strange and mysterious had taken hold of Madison Valley on Friday. People who had been in town longer than Hope suddenly became...other people? It was weird to say the least. Hope had experienced many weird and strange things in her lifetime (it was impossible not to being a Mikaelson), but nothing like this. She'd never seen people think they were different people and without any reasoning behind it. Everyone knew the Dome was neither magical or reasonable so the explanations behind the phenomenon could have literally been endless. Hope leaned towards magical means based on her background, but if it was a spell, she didn't know how to go about undoing it. It was powerful; these people not only thought they were other people, but they became those people with powers and gifts included in the transformation. How did you begin to undo something like that?
And then, her father appeared. Niklaus Mikaelson. The infamous hybrid who was both deadly and charming to anyone who had the privileged or misfortune of coming to know him. He was dead in her timeline. Most of her family was. She only had her two aunts and a single uncle left. But this town brought people back from the dead in a sense by pulling them from before their deaths. She'd always hoped him or her mother might show up, but she also feared it. What would they think of her now? Well, Madison Valley had finally given her the chance to find out. He was from before his death and from before Hope was a teenager which was why he didn't recognize her as his daughter. It was an unfortunate aspect of the opportunity, but Hope was not about to let it pass her by. She had spent so much time wanting to be around her father more and now this place had given her the chance. If she had to show her abilities, it was a small price to pay.
They agreed to meet by the river and Hope had chosen a more secluded spot, away from prying eyes since she was going to have her witch abilities and her wolf abilities on display. Showing him she could be both should be enough to prove her heritage to him. She was, after all, the only one of her kind. She paced as she waited for his arrival; a mixture of nerves and electric excitement coursed through her.
