Hugs, she decided in that exact moment, were lovely. Nice. Healing, even. Her hearts still ached with a sense of abandonment and loss she didn't know how to describe, but she didn't want to open that box of feelings yet. She wasn't certain she'd be able to close it. But the hug was nice.
"I used to think of Donna as Mum for a long while," then she grins, wide and bright. "Oh, if she could see you now! She would not be able to stop talking!" She laughed properly at that, then her hearts clenched again with that ache. Would she see Donna again? Could she, since she changed?
She looked at her Mum, nodding a bit. "I've got the flat they assigned me, but I'm used to living near people. Of course it's near people, but, people I know."
