Who: Mal What: Indiana musical numbers? Where: town, walking around When: [backdated to:] Wednesday, 3/4, afternoon Warnings: Low. Teenage angst. Status: Open
Mal had been in the royal library - a rare place for her, yeah. But she had things to research. There was a lot that came with being the future queen, and she wasn't one for having everything spoon-fed to her. She had settled in for a morning of reading over history and laws, only to eventually fall asleep in a half-open book.
She woke much like she started, face in a book, backpack next to her. But this wasn't the castle's library. She tried not to panic. She could have been spelled or something; the enemy could be nearby. But as she gathered her things and began to walk around, the librarian sang to her about books, wonderful books, how much she missed the old card catalog system, and books.
. . . okay. Not entirely weird.
She ventured outside, where she met some sort of welcome person. Their chat was pleasant enough, until the man sang to her about needing a guardian and attempted to explain currency which didn't translate easily into song. Well. Mostly because she never had a true need for currency - VK and all, she stole what she needed, until Ben. And now people just gave her the world. This was weird. Maybe a guardian wasn't an awful idea.
But where did she find this guardian person? She scrolled through her smart phone, hoping to find Ben or Evie or Jay or Carlos, but nothing. No luck. Which, made her feel the need to lament in song - she missed her friends, her home, but singing in the middle of the street about her feelings meant that Indiana really wasn't so different after-all. Now where could she find a guardian?
. . . that? Kind of felt better. Almost like normal.
