Rowan wasn’t in the mood to attend a dance then again she hadn’t been in the mood to do much of anything lately. Shawn was great, but she missed Clint and his annoying immature ways. One thing for sure was Clint always kept things interesting even if sometimes he drove Rowan nuts with how she was the adult, but now she missed it. Now she felt like she had taken so many steps back to when she first showed up in this place and was closing herself off. Was it healthy? No, but Rowan didn’t really care. Her job was always about taking care of her family and friends while putting herself last. Shawn had been nice enough to let her stay here, but she figured it was only a matter of time before he left or kicked her out. People very rarely stayed, it was the sad truth.
Not really sure if he was going to try to get her to be social or anything, Rowan had left without saying much of a word on where she was going. If he wanted to think she was at the dance, then that was on him. Instead, she decided to hang out at Starbucks for a while, needing more coffee to keep her awake with the little sleep she was getting once again. No way was this going to be as good as when she made her own in the morning, but it was better than nothing. Ordering a drink, she went to sit at a table, dropping her bag on the seat next to her.
Right on cue, her mind shifted back to the people in that damn circle with King_Cobra. Trying to push it aside, she pulled out a notebook from her bag. She needed to push thezoo stuff aside for a bit, and focus on things like college applications and stuff. Rather than opening it up, her mind drifted again as she doodled random objects on the cover.
