She had no idea how he could do it, but he did. With a simple look and dismissal, John was able, yet again, to relieve her worries almost in an instant. It wasn't just some blind-eye dismissal, either. John seemed to understand and believe her and accept what she said without any inclination of judgement or disappointment. It was utterly different to anything the Doctor was used to.
"...Sorry." Her usual nose scrunch appeared for only a moment. "I know it wasn't a good time to say all that, but I thought, you know, since we're dating and... Deepening everything, I wanted you to know. I don't want to lie to you." She paused, but the joke was right there. "I want to lie with you."
