One moment John was simply sitting there beside her, trying his best to ignore his growing arousal, and using his plate to hide it too. Then the Doctor suddenly spoke up; offering an unexpected bombshell of information. However instead of saying a word, or even reacting at all, the Marine merely listened carefully before pausing to consider everything she shared. That silence lingered for just a moment or two, but at last Grimm gazed at the woman sitting beside him and offered a slight shrug of his shoulders. There was no look of anger, surprise, or even disgust. Only a soft but real smile.
"I see. Well I cannot say that I am surprised to learn that you are married. After all you're quite an amazing person, Doc, and I have no doubt that others know that to be true as well." The fact that she was an ancient alien was something he had already processed on that first night that they met. Sure the time travel thing still took some getting used to, but the man simply accepted it all at face value and saw no problem with her being married to two others from different points in time.
Even the news that she had destroyed entire races and planets didn't seem to phase Reaper in the least. Beyond the slight arch of his eyebrow there was no real look of shock or dismay. "Shit happens in the heat of battle, and if you had to wipe them out...well I trust it was for the best, Doc. I'm not one to go second guessing another persons choices." He had blood on his hands too, and while John felt regret over the lives lost he also knew it had been a necessary loss.
Despite her furrowed brow and serious tone Grimm couldn't stop his face from flushing when the blonde spoke of taking him to bed. But when she offered to leave and never see him again John Grimm found himself laughing aloud for a moment. With a shake of his head the Marine just playfully nudged her with his elbow before nodding to her food. "Shut up and eat, Doc. Your food's getting cold, and there's no way in hell I'm kicking you out. So relax and try to not fret so much."
