The Doctor was oblivious to what she said in terms of how he had taken it, but she did notice he was blushing. She had to admit it was a very good look on him and her smile warmed at it. Faced with him in front of her again, it was easier for her to let a lot of her worries drift away to the corners of her mind. It helped that often she found herself thinking about wanting to kiss him which distracted her from other things. Her eyes drifted to his mouth for a moment, lingering there wistfully before looking back up to his eyes.
"I'm married." The words came out and were a bit of a surprise to her. Her words picked up speed as she explained. "To at least two people - it' always hard to remember that sort of thing. Technically they're both dead, but they're also alive depending how you look at it and at time travel. And technically Elizabeth is in Madison now but she's four and not Queen yet so it doesn't really count, I know, but I thought you should know." She took a little breath and it seemed like she was intent to keep going despite the dread she felt in her chest. "And I've done some terrible things, John. Destroyed entire races, planets...." They had left her no choice and the Doctor had felt justified at least in the moment, but it didn't make things any less horrible. She didn't want to get into specifics now because it would take hours if not days to truly talk about everything.
She took a breath, her brow furrowed with concern. "I need you to know that. And probably other things I can't remember right now because it's really hard to look at you and not want to take you to bed right now. But I also understand if it's all to much for you and you don't want to see me anymore. I'll abandon this delicious dinner and walk right out if you ask me... - Really hoping you don't ask me though."
