Who: Rodney McKay and Shadow Moon Where: A field When: Saturday Evening What: Rodney finds his way to Madison Rating: Low
At first it had seemed like a good thing to become extra smart and to have really neat powers like the ability to read people's minds, but it had quickly turned into something terrifyingly scary like a lot of Ancient inventions. Rodney was starting to wonder if the Ancients did anything right other than a handful of things. He was going to try to ascend. Sheppard was helping him despite how hard he knew it was to actually offer help. Rodney knew he was a pain in the ass to deal with on a good day.
"I want you to give my eulogy" It seemed like the best thing to do - to get his affairs in order even if John said he didn't want to have any of that kind of talk. That kind of talk needed to be done. He had just explained how he wanted his ashes spread out in space when he felt pain radiate in his head and he passed out.
Rodney McKay ended up not in Atlantis' infirmary, but on a patch of cold, slightly snowy field. He was still clutching his head, only slightly conscious at the moment.
