Who: Kate Danvers and OPEN What: Picking up dinner Where: Hinkles When: Wednesday late afternoon Warnings: unlikely Status: open/in progress
Last night had been a quiet night at home. Ever since he lost control, Stiles hadn't been feeling very social so they'd opted to skip the big party at Verdant. Kate was worried about him, had been for a while, and hoped they'd be able to figure out something to help him sooner rather than later.
On the upside, she didn't mind getting up to open the music shop today and she'd promised to stop by Hinkles and bring home burgers for the boys after her shift. She decided to get herself a milkshake to sip while she waited for them to prepare her large order. They spent a ridiculous amount of money at Hinkles and got excellent service so she didn't mind being patient.
Kate was feeling rather introspective of late. Between her worries about Stiles and the fact that she was rapidly approaching her six year anniversary in Madison Valley, there was a lot to think about. She'd arrived in this town an impulsive, hot-headed teenager and now she was an adult who usually managed to control her impulses and keep her anger in check. Usually. She'd never be perfect, after all she was Clayton Danvers' daughter, but she'd grown up a lot since arriving here.
And she'd also let herself get a bit complacent when it came to being aware of her surroundings because she was so caught up in her thoughts and her milkshake that she didn't realize that someone had slid onto the stool next to her until they were already there.
