Buffy + The Doctor
Buffy had no idea that The Doctor was making an attempt at boosting her spirits. She just figured the woman wanted to dance and wanted someone to join her on the dance floor. Buffy was more than willing to do that. She was happy to dust off the dance moves so to speak and see if she could even let go as much as she use to when she'd dance at the Bronze back in Sunnydale. It would be a challenge for sure.
Buffy was sure no one would touch her plate and she'd left her jacket draped over the back of the chair to further deter someone from taking her place. Hopefully, people would see it and know what it meant. Standing, Buffy took the offered hand after a moment's hesitation. She hadn't held a woman's hand in a while, probably not since tugging Dawn somewhere to safety or Will. It was strange to be holding her hand to just go to the dance floor, but Buffy pushed the idea aside. It was New Year's Eve and all about having fun. Nothing else mattered.
"Buffy Summers. It's nice to know you, Doctor." Buffy actually didn't like doctors or hospitals, but she found this doctor to definitely not be doctor-like in the least and much more likable than any other she'd met before. The tune was upbeat and Buffy moved to the music. "And thanks for the offer, but I'll try to keep your toes pain-free," the blond replied, giving the other woman a smile.
