Keith and Kim
"Exactly." She was satisfied that he knew her well enough to understand that much. Kim honestly felt like he had a good handle on who she was, just like she understood him. Even though they'd sort of ended up together more often than not because of their friends, Kim was grateful for the connection because it was an honest one.
"Duh. That's part of what makes it fun," came her reply as she watched him hit only one out of the three on the bullseye. Kim let him collect his before she went to throw hers, and it was all too easy to fall into a rhythm as they made their way through the game. Mocktails and snacks on top of that made it go that much more quickly and before she knew it, they were on their third game and it was nearing midnight.
"Jeeze, where did the time go?" she asked as she collected her darts from the board. "Guess we picked well," Kim added, in terms of how they spent their evening.
