"I don't know if coming back is better or worse," he admitted as he kicked at some loose gravel on the path in front of them. "I left and came back. I made people worry about me, I got caught up in what was going on in my world, and we lost someone there, too. It's bad there, since you don't know if it's permanent or not, but at least they won't come back possibly not knowing you."
Lance definitely worried about the day one of Molly's ex-boyfriends came back, either with or without memories. It could implode things, for sure, but it could aos theoretically make them stronger together. Lance just wasn't sure he wanted to risk it.
"My girlfriend lost her sort of sister, sort of cousin type thing. It was the six of us all the time. Me and my two friends. My girlfriend and her two sisters and or cousins. They were close, you know. And so each of me and my friends is dating one of the three of them. Well, Keith's dating on Keith's scale, but to everyone else he and Kim are just friends. Now, Hunk's lost his girlfriend and that hurts. Food can't really fix that, as much as it'd be nice if it could." Lance was rambling, but he didn't realize it. He was mostly just getting it all off his chest and that helped more than anything.
