WHO Mia Smoak & Matt Murdock WHAT Getting some questions answered WHEN After This WHEREThe Wyrm WARNINGS TBD, will update if needed STATUS Closed | Incomplete
After spending most of the day on her own, Mia could admit she was both bored and lonely. There was only so much drinking a person could do alone, after all. It was her reward for all the training she'd done earlier in the day, and that was also her logic when she replied to Matt's network post. Ever since running into him, she'd been intrigued and she'd be lying if she said she wasn't a little into him. It wasn't like her crossword puzzle partner was going to be an option anytime soon. He was far too straight laced and Mia was 70% sure he never even noticed that she was flirting with him half the time. Matt, at least, could hopefully see the intent behind her suggestion. She hadn't exactly been subtle with it.
He'd agreed, which ultimately was all that had mattered, and she'd suggested the Wyrm since it was under new management these days. No one really knew what the hell they were doing, which meant cheap beer and probably the sort of people who'd appreciate her take on who was best suited to tell 20/20 jokes. If she was trying to stack the deck in her favor, oh well. She could hardly be blamed.
Mia opted to meet him there and grabbed a seat at the bar. She ordered two beers and took a sip of her's while she waited for him to show up. Maybe it was optimistic of her to think he'd follow through, but he didn't strike her as the kind of guy who bailed on hastily thrown together plans. Those types didn't really allow for thinking things through, something she was hoping to use to her advantage.
"I'm just going to preface this by saying that just because I told you I play dirty doesn't mean I already filled everyone in on how to answer," Mia said by way of greeting when she sensed him close enough. Some people wasn't everyone, after all. "Unless you want to go with whoever wins is right, but I figured we could make that more interesting with a friendly wager."
