Lydia didn’t think she’d ever entertained so many visitors who had no interest in seeing her bedroom as she had the last couple weeks. Which given her situation wasn’t actually a bad thing. She’d stayed in the clinic for more than a week until she was healed enough to be home, and when she was released, she spent her time recovering on her sofa with people who cared constantly popping in. She didn’t love it, didn’t like people seeing her anything less than perfect, but she appreciated it and more often than anyone else Gibbs was there.
She’d sent him on his way not long before another knock on her door, with the promise that she was just going to watch a movie on her own and go to sleep and her doors would be locked so she’d hopefully stay out of trouble, as if that would stop anything if the banshee thing took over again. Lydia just assumed it was him again and after easing herself to her feet with a grumble she threw the door open ready to chew him out and just throw a spare key at him if he was going to keep making her get up.
Except it was Scarlett standing there and just like always Lydia immediately felt the peace of being near her. The noise always in her head just stopped the second she got close enough and she felt like she could actually relax.
“Hey. What’s up?” She didn’t really need to ask. She was smart enough to piece things together and she had to guess it had something to do with Stiles. Everything had something to do with Stiles these days. And Lydia just missed having him around that much more because of it.
