Sometimes Raven thought about getting a job that didn't involve taking off her clothes. She was the mother of a teenager and should be setting a better example for her son by working a more legitimate job. The problem was that she didn't have many marketable skills that would apply to a regular 9-5 type gig. Until she met Charles, her education was non-existent and, even after he made his parents believe she was his sister, school really hadn't been something that interested her so mostly skated by.
Not to mention, the money was really good. She could make more money by dancing for twenty hours than she would doing some boring office job. Plus she got to meet some fun and interesting people.
Thanks to her abilities, most of her customers didn't know who she really was and that made her life here in town much easier. She had several different personas she used to dance and never had to worry about people recognizing her in line at the grocery store or when she went out for coffee. It also wouldn't embarrass her son if any of his friends came into the club. She wasn't ashamed of her job though and wouldn't avoid people she knew when they came in.
Saturdays were always busy and after her mainstage dance, she made her way through the crowd, chatting with the patrons and hoping she'd get some takers for lap dances.
