Who: Lisa and Legolas What: Dealing with losing Lenny again. Where: Legolas's place When: Not long after Lisa realized Lenny was gone. Rating: TBD Status: Closed; Incomplete
Sadly, this was not the first time Lisa Snart had lost her brother in Madison Valley. She'd lost Lenny over a year ago. After the first time, she truly believed she would never see the only family she had ever again. What Madison Valley gave, it could easily take back after all. However, Madison Valley gifted her with a second chance. Leonard came back to Madison Valley and they had reconnected. It was wonderful and Lisa could not be happier. Add in the fact that she was seeing a handsome, kind, and somewhat devilish elf and Lisa felt as if she had finally found contentment (mostly) with life. Then, a few days ago, she texted Leonard about seeing each other for dinner and the text bounced back. Even though she already had the sinking feeling in her stomach, Lisa tried again, but it bounced back once more. She went to his place and knocked, knocked for thirty minutes, but there was nothing and when the landlord finally let her in?
It was empty. Everything that had been her brother was gone and Lisa Snart, a woman who rarely cried, crumbled to the ground in front of a complete stranger and wept for the loss of the first man she'd loved in her life: her brother. Oh, Lisa knew there was absolutely nothing she could do about it. He was gone and Madison Valley was the only thing that could bring him back to her or send her home to him. She was at its mercy like every refugee in town, but like all of them, there was nothing she could do. She could only mourn him, drink too much, throw a few axes, and hope that eventually the pain would dull or she would simply become numb. She understood now why people did not automatically grow close again to those who returned to Madison Valley after a departure. It always hurt when they were sent back. Always.
Thankfully, she had friends here and Legolas. He was definitely becoming a more and more a stable force in her life and while Lisa always preferred a little chaos, she was finding that she didn't mind the stable, calming presence he provided. Besides, he could be a bit crazy too. It just depended on the day. Obviously, when he saw her post, he invited her over immediately and Lisa went as soon as she could. She needed him and all the comfort he could provide. It didn't take her long to get to his place and she quickly knocked on the door, hoping that she hadn't waited too long and that he might have gone out. She didn't think he would knowing how she was feeling, but she couldn't blame him if he'd stepped out for a moment.
