Deirdre and Open
She came to the dinner because they were close neighbors and because she had no desire for a more traditional setting. She did not venture too far out of her home lately, it was nice to prepare for winter on her own or with Riddick. She was happy, though, to bring fresh roast venison to share with the Settlement tonight. She had set a plate at one of the long tables and sat down with a mug of mead.
She normally looked pretty unapproachable but not tonight, she was trying to look less intimidating. It wasn't easy, by far, but that was okay. She would also be happy to just eat, enjoy the fires and not be social. It could be worse, right? She made sute to stop by to say thank you to Sigrun and Torvi for putting such a feast together, though. It was always good to be polite to your neighbors.
Deirdre lifted a bite of turkey to her mouth and sighed happily. She rarely had turkey back home and she forgot just how good a well cooked turkey could be.
